INTRODUCING INJURY INSURANCE

A new membership benefit for verified hunting & fishing guides/outfitters.

Guide with peace of mind. Guidefitter has your back with supplemental injury insurance with no additional cost to you.

Guidefitter has teamed up with supplemental health insurance leader, Spot, to bring all verified hunting and fishing guides an Injury Insurance Policy to cover you in case of covered accidental injury while on a guided trip, with no additional cost to you. Your injury insurance policy offered by Spot, sponsored by Guidefitter, provides up to $5K for out-of-pocket medical costs per injury, a $0 deductible, and you can see any licensed physician. Coverage works whether you have health insurance or not, and coordinates with any existing health plan you may have. This benefit is currently limited to hunting and fishing guides only, but Guidefitter and Spot are working together now to bring similar insurance benefits to other guiding professionals as soon as possible.

Who
is covered?

Any active Verified Hunting or Fishing Guide/Outfitter Insider member of Guidefitter, is covered.

What
is covered?

Covered accidental injuries that occur while you’re guiding hunting or fishing trips.

When
are you covered?

You’re covered anytime you’re guiding. It must be a trip in which you are being compensated for these activities.

Injury Insurance is included with your Guidefitter Insider membership. That means you’re covered for one year from the day that you are successfully verified by Guidefitter as a Guide/Outfitter Insider. You must maintain an active Insider account to be covered. Not maintaining your verified Insider status with Guidefitter will terminate your coverage.

are you covered?

Anywhere in the United States.

What
does it cost?

There is no cost to you for this Guidefitter membership benefit, and the benefit is currently only available to active Verified Hunting or Fishing Guide/Outfitter Insiders with Guidefitter. Guidefitter covers all insurance premium costs for eligible members.

How it works?

If you get injured while guiding, whatever your licensed medical professional recommends as treatment should be covered. Once you get your first bill, you can file a claim through your Spot account by uploading pictures of your bill(s) as you receive them and providing a few details about your accident. After you file a claim, a Spot personal claims advocate will help you determine the best plan for your medical and financial situation. Claims are not processed or serviced by Guidefitter. You must file a claim through your Spot account.
