Roosevelt Elk Hunting takes place in the dense, restricting cover of Oregon's Coastal range from the massive old growth forest to the reprod. The hunts are Spot and Stalk Method as well as calling Herd Bulls during peak of the rut. Deer - Our Hunts take place is several Locations on the Southern Oregon Coast.During Rifle season we use the Spot and Stalk Method yielding our highest results. Montana, United States • Our hunting area north of Yellowstone National Park has one of the best elk populations in the state, largely due to the fact that private ranches provide year-round food and secure habitat. In addition, when inclement weather arrives between mid-October and Thanksgiving, the hunting is often considered the finest in the world! For an area that has such good elk hunting, the deer hunting isn't too bad either! Montana state regulations do not allow us to hunt mule deer during the last two weeks of our rifle season. Therefore, while our first few hunts are elk/mule deer combination hunts, the last two hunts are elk/whitetail combination hunts or elk only hunts. Since mule deer hunting is not allowed during the peak of the rut when they are most vulnerable, we shoot some dandies during the early stages of the rut during our first three weeks of hunting season. Average mature bucks would be 20 to 24 inches wide, although we have taken several in the 30 inch class. In addition, we have taken voluntary steps in the past 10 years to manage our deer and elk herds for larger animals

In addition, the weather in Montana in September and early October is beautiful. These 6 day hunts generally run the second week of September through the second week of October. This is a combination hunt. Your license will allow you to shoot one elk and one deer. Typically the deer killed this time of year is a whitetail, as most of the mule deer we see this time of year are either does or immature bucks.

Alberta, Canada • We offer Black bear hunts in the Spring Season from May 1 to May 31. Fall hunts are available commencing with archery season in late August and continue into October. Alberta has a generous amount of colour phase bears and the harvest success rate is very high. Outdoor Pastimes offer archery and rifle elk hunts in the fall. We design the hunts to include spot and stalk techniques, still hunting, calling in the rut and tree stand sites near licks and wallows. Alberta is second to none when it comes to great hunting opportunities for trophy class Whitetail and Mule deer. Starting in late August, archery enthusiasts will have first crack at some of the finest deer in the world. Using a combination of still hunting, calling, tree stand, and ground blind techniques, we offer guided hunts in an area which has been pre scouted to ensure the "big boys" are in. United States • HUNTING LOCATION & DURATION FOR DEER AND ELK We are permitted to hunt on four Game Management Units and one BLM area. The three GMUs in the northern section of the Routt National Forest (#4, #441, and #214) have excellent elk and mule deer populations and are in mountainous terrain. They have some areas of thick, black timber, lots of Aspen trees and are integrated with many open parks and meadows. GMU #214 is a non-draw archery area (licenses are sold Over-The-Counter). The BLM area has similar terrain. It offers excellent mule deer hunting (many 28-30′ plus bucks) especially in 2nd and 3rd rifle seasons. GMU #12 is located in the southern section of the Routt National Forest in the Beaver Flattops area and is southwest of Hayden, CO. This is also a quality elk and deer area.
