Gangler's Canadian Sub-Arctic Hunting offers some of the largest Canadian moose in all of Canada and one of the best values. Our remote area is home to HUGE bulls. Our average spread is 54" and we have taken a MONSTROUS 66" (205 B&C) and 7 others breaking the 60" mark. Every year we take moose in the high 50s. It doesn't get any better than this. Our terrain consists of a vast region of 5,000,000 acres with over 12 rivers and a hundred lakes. This area is exclusively ours and located almost 200 miles from the closest road. No other outfitters hunt this area and we have practiced careful conservation methods since we first opened it. This mix of lakes and river, boreal forest, swamp plus the various forest fires which have run through the area have created the ideal habitat for big moose. We hunt from a variety of camps, ranging from our plush outpost camps to tent camps.

Prince George • Grizzly- Our grizzlies are inland bear. We only take a maximum of 1 bear per year. This lets us be very selective and target specific animals. Trophies are in the 8 foot class with skulls measuring 25 inches. Moose- We offer 2 different moose hunts. 1 hunter per guide and 2 hunters per guide. These are bull rut hunts. Trophies range from a high of 58 inches on down. We have several methods of moose hunting and tune the hunt to each hunter's personal preference. Black Bear- Our spring hunt is a spot and stalk style hunt with trophies in the 7 foot class. The bear have just come out of hibernation and their fur is prime and luxuriant. For an additional harvest fee you can have the opportunity to hunt, wolf, elk, whitetail and mule deer. We are a family run business and have been in operation since 1964. Our success has never been less than 95% on any of our hunts. We welcome all methods of hunting.

British Columbia • Those hunters on moose hunts who wish to hunt Black Bear, Wolf, Lynx and Wolverine will be charged a $1000.00 fee for each of these species they harvest. There will be absolutely no pressure for a hunter to take any of these species and particularly a small or non-trophy sized animal. Yukon • The Alaska-Yukon moose which we hunt are the largest of all moose. Spreads up to 70 inches are possible however most moose taken are in the 54 – 58 inch, 190 plus B & C point range. As with the moose, our mountain caribou are among the world's largest. Antlers are correspondingly massive. A big bull caribou in his rutting colors is a majestic sight you may never forget. Our Yukon goats are the largest of the species due to being the most northern goat population. Dall or white sheep make up about 95% of our sheep with the remaining 5% showing a very light fannin color. Sheep are hunted with horses in one area and by backpack in the other. Spring hunts using jet boats and hiking give you the best success on big boars. These can be very physically demanding if you want to hike or very relaxing if you prefer just to float. Fall moose hunts give you the next best odds plus you will take a moose and or a caribou home.

Yukon • These animals are rightly called the ultimate predator. Nothing is safe from a wolf pack including the grizzly. They are the population control for all large ungalates and next to a wolverine are the hardest North American trophy to get. Most wolves are taken incidentally on a moose or caribou hunt but we do offer winter wolf hunts with consistently improving success. A most desirable trophy but we can only trap them. They are fairly easily trapped so most clients will get one, however their populations follow our rabbit populations which just crashes every few years.
