• Every hunt is tailor-made to our client's individual needs and physical conditioning. It is recommended you come in the best physical condition possible. On most of our ten and fourteen day hunts we use horses.
Scoop Lake base camp is located at 2,000 feet, most of our 21 spike camps are between 2,800 and 3,500 feet in elevation. We do have a few camps up as high as 4,500 feet. Timberline is approximately 4,500 – 5,000 feet. Our highest mountains are 8,000 feet. You can expect to spend the majority of your time hunting between 4,000 and 6,000 feet. When hunting by horse in the mountains our Sheep, Moose, Caribou and Goats are all found around the timberline elevation.
Lake and river hunts can be arranged for Moose, Goat, Caribou, Grizzly, Black Bear and Wolf. We also offer 8 day single species hunts for Moose or Goat. If you have physical limitations but yet wish to have a hunting opportunity that may produce a record book moose contact us regarding our lake hunts.

Scoop Lake Outfitters enjoys a very high success on all species – often close to 100%. If you arrive in good shape our experienced guides and our long standing wildlife conservation ensures you will have the best possible hunting experience and opportunities available. We offer horseback hunts which are usually ten & fourteen day combination hunts for multiple species. In conjunction with these hunts we offer boat hunts on lakes or river boat.

• Our black bear hunting area encompasses over 6,000 square miles of bush, swamps, farmland, rolling hills, rivers and little lakes. Prime bear habitat. It carries one of the highest densities of black bears in the province. With so many bears living in our area, it allows our clients a chance at a second bear, therefore doubling the fun! We offer archery, rifle, blackpowder, and muzzleloader hunts for spring and fall black bear, Spring hunts are all baited and fall hunts are also baited, with the option of spot and stalk or a combination of the two.
Moose - We are only taking 2 hunters per week for three weeks every year to hunt this unhunted patch of moose heaven. A R44 helicopter will fly you into our tent camp, were a camp attendent will cook for you and keep the fire stoked. Each hunter will have his or her own guide for the duration of the hunt.

• Located smack dab in the middle of the northernmost farming communinty in all of North America, and being blessed with tens of thousands of migrating waterfowl in two flyways pouring through our community, its safe to say that our waterfowl hunting is amazing!!!
Our vast area is loaded with game as thousands upon thousands of geese migrate through La Crete each year. Since this is the only farmland this far north, it's a choice stop for a multitude of waterfowl giving you "opening day birds" throughout the season. The goose hunting that we get here is absolutely phenomenal. Greater canada's, white fronts, mallards and pintails make up the majority of the birds but snow geese, ross geese, lesser canada's, shovelers, teal, and a few others are also commonly shot.
Our waterfowl hunting is done largely on the grain fields surrounding the community.

Spanning nearly 1500 square miles, this pristine area is home to over ten species of big game including Stone's Sheep, Mountain Goat, Grizzly Bear, Elk, Moose, Mountain Caribou, Mule Deer, Black Bear, Wolf, and Plains Bison.
Mountain Goat, Moose, and Elk hunts are offered as 10 day combination hunts. The initial animal harvested is included in the hunt price. The hunter pays a trophy fee for each additional animal harvested.
