Thermopolis • The Bighorn is an excellent tailwater fishery with 1500 trout over 12 inches per mile. You can expect to catch many rainbows in the 16"-18" range, a couple browns up to 20" and if you're lucky you might catch a cutthroat or two. Of course we break the 24" mark on all species a few times during the season... you never know what you're gonna tie into! Dry fly fishing is our favorite thing to do and most of the time the trout are willing to eat on the surface. But we're not afraid to get down and dirty with nymph rigs when the hatches don't cooperate. We are a small guide service which gives us the opportunity to custom tailor your fishing trip whether you're a beginner, novice, or experienced angler. Our guide staff have spent years learning the hundreds of miles of river we float in order to find our anglers the best fishing available. We recommend these trips for anglers of all experience levels. There's just something about standing in the water fly fishing that brings it back to what it's all about. Our Walk Wade fly fishing trips take place on a number of rivers including locations in Yellowstone Park, local area spring creeks and some special "No-Tell-Um" Creeks. We ride in, set up camp, and then concentrate on fishing. At this time of year, we match the many hatches that are coming off the water. These early fish have not seen very many fishermen yet, so they come more readily to the fly. While you are on the river, be sure to look up and take in the surrounding scenery of Gunsight Mountain and Cutoff Mountain.

Yellowstone National Park • On our first day we'll ride eleven miles to the Upper Cache Creek site, where we'll set up our home away from home for the next three nights. This camp looks down the long valley all of the way to the Lamar River. We'll spend days two and three exploring the pockets and pools of the Cache Creek, relaxing by the fire, taking nature hikes learning about the flora and fauna of the area. We can ride up Cache Creek for some photography as we climb alongside the Thunderer for some great photos of the old Ranger cabin 3 miles uptstream, or the occasional buffalo, wolf, or bear meandering up and down the trail. Our nights will be filled with tales around the campfire, good food, and relaxation. On our last day, after the guides pack things up, we'll head back toward home.
