One of the most sought-after places to fish in Yellowstone National Park is Slough Creek. The fish are big, the water is slow, and the scenery is spectacular. We ride in, set up camp, and then concentrate on fishing. At this time of year, we match the many hatches that are coming off the water. These early fish have not seen very many fishermen yet, so they come more readily to the fly. While you are on the river, be sure to look up and take in the surrounding scenery of Gunsight Mountain and Cutoff Mountain.
We provide everything. You come and bring your clothes, toothbrush, and fishing gear. We cook all of the meals from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last. We set up the tents, saddle all the horses, and pack all of the mules. We provided a spacious four-man backpacker style tent for two people and their gear. That comes with a Therma rest mattress, zero degree sleeping bag, cotton bag liner, pillow and pillowcase. Meals steaks over the fire, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, Caesar salad, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Breakfast includes pancakes, bacon, breakfast burritos, omelets to order, and the like.
The base price of the trip is $3,040. You can rent rods, cots, a different menu, or bear spray, for additional amounts.
We require a 50% deposit for the trip which is fully refundable until we get the campsites with the park service. Once the campsites are secured the deposit becomes non-refundable. The final 50% is due 30 days before the trip goes out.
