I've done all sorts of workouts over the years both for work and pleasure. After exiting careers which required fitness tests, I needed something that would keep my interest and be practical for a lifetime. CrossFit did the trick for a while, but it got old along with me getting old. MTNTOUGH incorporates everything I wanted in a fitness plan: mindset, physical challenge to push limits, and a spiritual component to boot. I found every time I needed to achieve an elite level of fitness, I needed to find a way to tailor my workouts to be able to meet the needs I had. Backcountry hunting is no different. I've put MTNTOUGH training to the test to the nth degree and it has definitely made a big difference in my ability in the mountains. In particular, it gives you specific training for hunting movements (i.e., pulling a high draw bowstring back, traversing deadfall, carrying a very heavy load over rugged terrain, etc.) and endurance that is unparalleled compared to anywhere else I've found.
