I was looking for a simple yet well made case to replace the vintage case that came with my 1962 remington 721. Use for me is a simple transport to the range or out to a hunting area. I have no heavy duty protection needs but wanted something protective and able to handle a little moisture.
The materials used are of better quality than your typical cheap cordura nylon cases and the interior fabric reminds me of an old flannel sleeping bag interior. The protective foam is sufficient for the job provided you don't put your rifle under a bunch of other gear. The exterior is plenty durable (within reason for a fabric) and can take a little rain. The zippers work but tend to stick a little as all old style metal zippers do. The pocket on the outside is perfect for one 20 round box.
There is room for my rifle w/ scope (50mm objective lense) on medium tall bases.
