Eberlestock F1 Mainframe & Vapor 5500

Eberlestock Vapor 5500 pack, filled with the elusive Sitka Black-tailed deer. The island's buck has a body that's 40-60 lbs heavier than a typical Sitka Black-tailed buck, so between the deer and our gear, we are carrying about 85 lbs. We are using the Eberlestock pack, there is plenty of room to stop and add any extra clothing or equipment to it as we shed layers.

Would I recommend the pack to a friend? Yes, but I would say if it was a perfect world I would give it a 3.6 out of 5.

When we are in the backcountry, facing challenges is part of the hunt, your mind will start to question why you're doing it. But when it sucks, when raspberry-type bushes are tearing you up, this is when you have to decide mentally to keep going, to become stronger today than you were yesterday. These are also the moments that teach us lessons for the rest of our life and memories that turn into stories we will be able to tell for years to come. And it's worth it!
