Let's start with the pros:
Fit is great, just like a comfy pair of jeans, but better! The stretch is perfect, they don't bind or grab and offer a full range of motion. I like the added rubberized First Lite logo on the inside of the waistband to keep a tucked in shirt in place. Pockets are cut well, deep enough, and the zippers work easily with one hand.... as they should! Button closure on the fly seems robust, and the fly zipper pull is over sized and should be easy to run even with gloves on.
I can't speak to the durability on a ten day back country hunt yet, but expect them to perform quite well. They are light and will be great on an early season elk hunt!
Cons:
They are louder than my Kuiu Attack pants, and aren't as soft/plush.
I wish they had a double belt loop in the spine area to prevent the typical sagging that can happen there, though they do move well, and I haven't really experienced that yet... but I haven't packed an elk out with them on. I'd like the cuffs/ calves to be cut a little bigger, I typically wear cowboy boots, and these don't really accommodate that for everyday use. They are fine with my hunting bots though. A little more room in the lower leg would also make the button and loop used for holding the lower legs up for river crossings more functional.... as they are, getting them above the knee for crossings is tight to say the least.
In closing, these are really good, comfortable pants! They look nice enough for everyday wear if you wanted to. They are comfy enough to wear everyday for sure! The quality and design are very good, and obviously well thought out. They should be quite durable, and stand up to the punishment they'll get. With a few minor tweaks, I think these pants could be outstanding. As they are, they are definitely in the rotation with my Kuiu Attacks, and Kings XKG pants. I do prefer the cut of the hip pockets over the Kuiu for sure. For the price, I would buy again, and likely will.
