The Crispi Hunter GTX boots are a great choice for all around hunting. They are great for archery season because they do have light insulation to keep your feet warm on the cool mornings, but aren't so insulated that your feet burn up later in the day. These boots also serve as a perfect winter boot as long as you're active. While following the trail of a mountain lion these boots keep your feet warm and give you all the traction you need to crawl around in slick snow. The waterproofing of these boots seems to last longer than all the others I've tried (Danner, Kenetrek, Meindl...). I've been wearing Crispi boots for about 5 years now and so far, I have nothing negative to say about them. If you're looking for a winter time tree stand boot that will keep your feet warm in the freezing temperature, this probably isn't the right boot. For about any other type of hunting, these boots will serve you well.
