Excellent Binoculars

I purchased these binos for hunting in Alaska. I live here and hunt quite a bit every year. I used these hunting sheep, bear, moose, caribou, and goat this fall. My hunting companions have several different brands of binos which they use, so I was excited to see how these stood up in the field. The end result was that these binos won in every situation. The glass clarity is awesome! The biggest benefit I saw though was in the light gathering capabilities of this particular model (9x45). When glassing animals from low light up to no light, these glasses allowed me to still see the detail I needed for 15 to 30 minutes after the other brands were no longer useable, and I was still able to see what I needed with the binos when I was no longer able to see with the naked eye. I was very impressed.

I like the heft and quality of feel with these binos. I tried every brand I could find across all of the stores I could find them, and I was very disappointed with the cheap plastic feel of most of the competition out there. I was also disappointed in the clarity of glass in most of the competition. I was a little apprehensive spending the money on these without having ever held a pair, but was happy with them from the minute I unboxed them.

They are heavier than most other brands I have used, but that comes from their quality of build. I will be buying more Maven products after seeing how these performed.
