I currently have a little over a month of experience with these boots. I was wearing the Nevada's, which I liked, but I wanted to try some of Crispi's other boots. I've used a lot of different boots over the years, and Crispi's are my current favorites. They compare well with Kenetrek's, except it seems like the Crispi's have a little wider toe box than the Kenetreks do. I liked my Kenetreks, but the narrow toe box is sometimes a little too extreme for my feet (which are fairly average size). The Crispi's are much more accommodating of my toes. The Nevada's were almost too wide for real steep country...seemed like my feet slid around just a little in them, but not too bad. These boots seem like a nice compromise between the Nevada's and the Kenetrek Hardscrabbles.
I spend most days hiking rough country for work, and the Kenetrek's seemed to last me 1-2 years before the soles would be worn away. I'm curious to see how these Crispi's do, but it's too early to say for sure.
One thing I don't like is the insoles. It's easy enough to buy some superfeet or something similar, but it sucks to have to buy yet another pricey product after buying an expensive pair of boots. Unfortunately it seems like that is the strategy of most of the high end boot companies that I've tried.
