Venture North Outfitting offers World class Guided Goose & Duck hunts. Offering 3 Day (5 hunts) or 6 day (10 Hunt) packages to provide a range of local and migrating waterfowl hunting experiences including mainly field & some water shoots.
Although Canada Geese , Whitefronted geese and Mallard & Pintail Ducks are our mainstay, on any given day you may have the opportunity to take liberal limits of Lesser Canada Geese, Snow Geese, Ross' or Blue Geese and, on occasion, an even wider range of diver ducks.
Typical shoots occur in pea or barley fields and/or potholes. We consistently provide our hunters with fast-paced action with some of the finest Waterfowling in the world!
We include everything you need in each trip package. From your airport pickup/drop off, to all lodging, meals, snacks and beverages. Right down to all of the Hunt licensing needed.

Yukon
• Grizzlies are a trophy experience of a lifetime! There is a good population of grizzlies within the area, as they are managed well, so it is not uncommon to spot or see signs of bears throughout your hunt.
The Yukon has become the world's hunting destination for a first class Alaska/Yukon Moose. The Alaska/Yukon Moose are of the largest subspecies of Moose within North America. The average span of their antlers range from 57"-60" but the Tombstone is known for moose that exceed 70".
We hunt both Fannin (Stone) and Dall Sheep. You will notice a wide variety of color ranging from dark Stone to light Dall.
The Tombstone has taken exceptional Mountain Caribou every year. We have a good population of the local Hart River herd in our area. Mountain Caribou are an excellent add-on to our sheep and moose hunts, or can be a separate hunt throughout our season.

• Our exceptional hunting area includes 4,600 square miles of pristine wilderness, with many valleys and mountains yet to be explored. We are located northeast of Dawson City, Yukon, nestled in the Ogilvie Mountains. There is no better way to experience the adventure of Canada's true north than that of a traditional horseback hunt in the Yukon. Tombstone Outfitters strives to make each and every hunt successful & enjoyable for you. Generally wolves are harvested when hunting for other species. Spring hunts will also be available.

Ontario, Canada
• Our spring season begins on May 25th and going till June 15th start baiting one month before the season starts to make sure we attract and hold every bear in the area. A lot of time is spent checking baits to ensure the success of our hunts.
We can cater to either gun hunters or bow hunters. The average distance to a bait a gun hunter will have is around 30-40 yards. Bow hunters will be set up 15-20 yards away depending on finding a useable tree/wind direction.
The density of bear in this area are some of the highest in Ontario with 40-60 bears per 60 square miles. As provided from a recent survey by our Ministry of Natural Resources.
You will be hunting in our bear management area so you will not encounter other hunters from other tourist outfitters.
We only take a limited number of people to make sure we are successful in the future as well. So space is limited.

• Come hunt Mature Whitetail deer in Beautiful Ontario.
Our hunt consist of a 6 day hunt except for the 1st week being that the Gun hunt will be starting on a Monday but accommodation will be provided for 7 days. You will be hunting on one of the many active baits (consisting of corn and apples) in the area. The average distance from the blind to the bait is around 40-60+
yards during the gun hunt and 20-25 yards during the archery hunt. Hunters will be hunting from treestands. You are welcome to bring your own treestand.
Baiting begins October 1st to insure all deer familiarize themselves with all of the baits.
To insure a good hunt, all Gun and Archery hunts will take place in different areas within WMU 55A and WMU 57.

• Our moose hunts are a fun, exciting hunt in an area that has a very high population of moose. This is a a physically easy hunt with 90% to 100% success rate on 35 to 45 inch wide bulls with the possibility for a 50 inches.

• Barren Ground Muskox Hunts
The Muskox is a signature statement in any trophy room. This is a pinnacle hunt, you are seeking to successfully hunt one of the ancient pre historic animals in Canada. There is no better place to hunt the largest Barren Ground Muskox in the Arctic then Aylmer Lake Lodge. The Barren Ground sub species are 15% larger in body and horn size than it's cousin the Greenland Muskox. The hide on the Muskox is simply stunning.
The area you will be hunting has never been commercially hunted. Our lodge is located in this new hunting zone. It's a brand new area in the NWT, Canada. You are hunting in the rut season so the Muskox are herded up for breeding. You will be witnessing the fighting between dominant bulls. When you come across a herd of Muskox it is not uncommon for multiple hunters to harvest their animal. This hunt is also conducive to archery hunters. The areas we hunt are so remote that the Muskox rarely if ever see humans.
Muskox hunts are during the most spectacular fall colours on earth. The sound of Muskox fighting the banging of skulls ringing out. The entire barren lands is vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows and the berries are bountiful and ripe. You should have opportunity to see caribou and wolves at this time of year. It's the time of year for spectacular spawning lake trout and Arctic Grayling fishing.
Our Territory
Our area is located in the northern barren-lands region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. We are located past the boreal forest into the barren-lands, that are renown for their giant lakes and river drainage that makes for a game rich environment. The Muskox population on the barren-lands in Unit U has been expanding and developing excellent size with populations estimated in the thousands. You will be remote, which puts you in the heart of where these majestic Muskox live.
Getting Here
Your starting destination city is Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. You will need to fly into Yellowknife the day before on an early fight. You must attend the Environment and Natural Resources Office in Yellowknife to purchase your hunting license. The next day you will be boarding a charter flight that will fly you into the lodge to begin your hunt. We work to book early morning flights so that you are into camp to get your rifles shot and get you settled into camp and out on the Tundra hunting. Once you arrive at the charter plane your trip begins. Your flight is approximately two hours and you need to dress warm for the flight.
Hunt Schedule
All of our Muskox hunts are minimum 8 full days of hunting. Once you leave on the charter flight begin to look for animals out your windows they are there and it's exciting to see the activity.

• Trophy whitetail deer! This is a unique trophy deer area that is situated between Lake of the Woods and Rainy River. With mixed agriculture, timber, extensive food plots, and a season that coincides with pre-rut and rut, this area has everything that Western Canada has to offer. Due to light hunting pressure these whitetails live to be trophy age (5-7 years old) and become huge bodied with large racks. The only way a buck can become a Booner is living to maturity in an area that provides great cover, lots of feed, and light hunting pressure. The Rainy River district has it all!

• Our semi-guided bear hunts are based from our remote fishing outposts on Pipestone Lake, which are boat-to destinations. Typically we plan to have our guests hunt in the evening, making for great opportunities to take advantage of the awesome fishing and beautiful scenery Pipestone Lake has to offer.
The cabins are fully furnished with a fully functional kitchen.
We will establish bait site locations and start baiting several weeks in advance of your hunt. If desired we can erect ladder stands or you can bring your own. At the beginning of the hunt we will escort you and your party to our remote outpost location(s), show you the different bait sites to hunt and key fishing locations to mark on your GPS.
