Description

Just across the boarder in Southern Colorado Fishtail Ranch is outfitting Elk and Mule Deer Hunts in the Rio Grande National Forest units 80, 81 & 82. Fully guided hunts as well as Self Guided Drop camps are available. This is a real wilderness experience in excellent elk hunting areas.

We pack you and your gear in by horseback 2 to 6 hours beyond the nearest vehicle access point, to hunt well beyond most of the public land hunters. Our camps are by special forest service permit and fully equipped for Archery, Muzzleloader and Rifle Seasons. Both draw and over the counter seasons are available.

• 5 Day CO Hunts - Fully Guided - $5,950

5 day Guided Hunts: Available for Archery and Rifle season. Hunts require 7 days, pack in the day before and out the day after the hunt dates listed above. Guided Camp Price includes - 5 days of hunting with an experienced guide (2 on 1), in our permitted camp which is hours by horseback from any vehicle access point. We will pack you and your gear in, a horse will be available for your use during the hunt, all your meals and a camp cook to prepare them are included. Our comfortable wilderness camp is fully stocked with large tents, wood stoves, propane heaters, cots, safety supplies, etc.

5 Day Drop Camp: Available for Archery and Rifle seasons Drop Camps include - Horseback pack in/out you and your personal gear to our permitted camp which is set in advance complete with tents, stove, utensils, table, cots, lanterns, safety and first aid supplies. Packing out your game is included in the drop camp price. Drop camp dates vary slightly and may be up to 10 days, please call for specific dates availability.
