Gear & Equipment

You will need all necessary hunting gear, safety equipment and weapon you will be using to hunt.

Weapon Details

ARCHERY: Longbows, recurve bows, and compound bows shooting broadhead arrows are permitted. No explosive or chemical devices may be attached to the arrow or broadhead. There are no minimum draw weights for bows or minimum diameter for broadheads. Arrows must be at least 18 inches long. Crossbows are not legal during the archery season except that a physically handicapped person, as defined on p. 14 of DNR guidebook, may obtain a permit from the DNR to use a crossbow.

Pricing Details

Hunters will arrive the day before their hunt after 12:00 pm and leave the day after their last hunt before 12:00 pm.​

Hunt Packages are non-refundable Packages booked within 30 days of the hunt must be paid fully at the time of booking Cancellation Policy No rain checks unless schedule permits Cancelled hunts are not refunded Gratuities Customary, but not required.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Application window with Iowa DNR May 3-June 1, 2025. There are NO OTC tags in Iowa.
