Contrary to popular belief, the snipe is a real bird as well as one of the finest upland hunts in existence. In recent years more waterfowlers and wingshooters have rediscovered this little marsh bird as its population is very healthy. A lot of snipe spend their winters in the swamps and wetlands in South Florida.
