Moose are one of the largest game animals in America that you may get a chance to hunt. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience to take a moose. I have been guiding moose hunts since '99. Including hunts myself, I have helped harvest over 50 moose in that time. In June 2012, I finished 2nd in the World (Maine) Invitational Moose Calling Championship and tried again in 2015 for a 3rd place finish.

Generally, we will spend time calling and searching for moose in cuts. The moose will be looking for love, food, drink and a place to rest. We may walk a short distance, or we may hunt close to the vehicles, the choice is yours.

If you would like a more traditional hunt, be advised that a moose harvested deep in the forest takes a lot of time and effort to retrieve. We will often hunt in areas we can still get a jeep or 4-wheeler in to assist with retrieval.

I guide in WMDs 7, 8, 4 & 1 regularly and have guided other WMDs as well.

Please note the Maine moose hunt is a lottery hunt.

Again I have teamed up with Tim Pond Camps for this years Lodge Permit hunt. We have a 2024 September (9/23/24- 9/28/24) WMD 1 BULL MOOSE PERMIT. This hunt is currently offered for $20k OBRO from Tim Pond and includes meals, lodging, guide, retrieval, daily transportation and bull moose permit.

Pricing Details

Moose hunting by permit in: WMD's 7 or 8 Starting at $1800* First four days, then $300/day for remainder of hunt

All other WMD's Starting at $2200* First four days, then $350/day for remainder of hunt

Cow hunt WMD 8* I charge $1200 as a base price. Meaning, I scout Fri, Sat, and Sunday (morning) then we hunt Monday. After that it is $300/ day with a Max of $2000 for the week. As an example, we get a moose Monday $1200 OR if we hunt until Friday then $2000 (Wed would be $1800).

LODGE PERMIT INFO: (updated 6/25/24) SOLD This permit is for the September 2024 season in WMD 1 (one of the most sought-after tags in Maine). Included are meals, lodging, guide, transportation during the hunt, retrieval of game, gate fees and the Maine moose permit. You are responsible for your personal snacks and drinks, Maine hunting licenses, processing and gratuity. $20000 OBRO

Reservations and Cancelation Information

Our moose hunt weeks may fill up and we encourage you to book your hunt early.

Reservations: •To reserve your hunting adventure, we require 50% non-refundable deposit. •The remaining balance is due at start of hunt.

Cancelations: •In all cases the 50% deposit is non-refundable. •Any remaining balance will be refunded or can be put toward a hunt the following year.

Additional Fees: Hunting License: $25 Maine residents / $114 non-residents **Hunters must purchase a Big Game license before arriving.

Moose permit: Resident - $52.00 Nonresident - $585.00 Must be acquired through IF&W.

Camp/Accommodations

Depending on the hunt lodging may vary. -You get drawn a permit: a)WMD's 7 or 8- You stay at your camp, an air bnb, your camper or a local sporting camp. b)WMD's 1 or 4- Spike camp (you provide your own), campers (either your own or rental), or a local sporting camp. You would be responsible for guide fee as well. -You buy our Lodge permit: Our permit is for WMD 1, options are generally a spike camp (wall tents), or we have stayed in campers with another outfitter.
