Our home base and snow goose hunts start in Central Missouri & Southern Missouri where we spend the majority of our time hunting and chasing snow geese in the early spring. Around the end of February, we then will head to Northwest Missouri and hunt some of our oldest stomping grounds that are North of the Famed Loess Bluffs NWR aka Squaw Creek NWR
Weather and migration are the ultimate dictator of where we will be and this can change quickly so we ask those that are interested in booking any spring snow goose hunts with us to try and follow us on social media, here at our website, or through text message so that we can make sure to keep you updated on where we are hunting. Please stay tuned and follow along on our journey!
WHAT TO EXPECT: Getting out to the decoy set before the sun peaks its head out from behind the horizon we will get hunters out to their blinds and go over safety and rules for the field as well as what needs to be done to get the decoy set ready for the day. Depending on wind shifts or weather changes there is almost always decoys to move and blinds to touch up with stubble. We will do our best to get all these items addressed before the birds make way. After getting all the things ready for the morning we will turn on the ecallers for the early morning flights in anticipation for the early birds. The rest of the day could be action packed from morning to mid day or it could be the complete opposite depending on bird movement or weather patterns. There really is no telling what you are going to get every hour in a snow goose hunting set is different. Typically there is a slow down period mid day but, even that is a toss up because on heavy migration days you could see all your birds mid day and nothing in the morning and the evening. The evening is no different it could be very hot and heavy or it could be a ghost town if the birds that were in the area decided to make way north and nothing else moved in behind them. The point i am trying to make is the only expectation you should come into a snow goose hunt with is no expectations at all! every minute, every hour, and every day is completely different so the best way to come into the hunt is to just be open to mother nature and what she has to offer that way you have no way to be dissapointed but, we can promise we do what we cant to the best of our ability to make it a memorable experience for you and your hunting party. Don't expect anything and you just may end up with everything!
WHAT TO BRING: White Suits, White Hats, White Coats - You can get tyvek suits at any hardware store or online, hats you can find at local stores or online. and if you cant find them we will have something for you to either use or to purchase. Shotgun - 12 gauge or larger is suggested Ammunition - Roughly 2 boxes a day (just a good estimate) could be less could be more, 3" or larger and 2 shot or larger suggested. State Hunting License - for the state you will be hunting Clothing - for all weather we never know what mother nature may bring it can be 80 degrees or it could end up a snowing. Not a bad idea to bring waders cause we may hunt ponds or the fields may collect sheet water with heavy rains. Bring whatever you will be comfortable hunting the entire day wearing. Snacks - or sack lunches we hunt all day and may break for lunch depending on how the birds are moving through-out the day. But, having something to snack on during the day is always a good idea. Garbage Bags - we accumulate a lot of trash in our blinds & for bird cleaning. It's nice to clean out the blinds everyday and hunting in a clean blind is always nice. And leaving a clean blind for the following group of hunters is also appreciated. Cooler or Coolers - for snacks and for transporting birds when you leave. Seat Cushions or things like that for the blinds. They may be uncomfortable for some and cushions may be a good idea for comfort. We lay out on the blinds for extended periods of time and if you want to stay comfortable or if you may have back problems bringing a seat cushion could save on your bottom and or for your back. Cameras - you may want to get pictures of your hunts and or film your hunts. Please keep in mind there are other people hunting as well and make sure that you are being descreet about it. We ask that you dont move around and film while birds are working and or during bird movement periods. Tags - Having tags or making tags with your info on them for tagging your harvested birds is recommended. At very least name address phone number information on a piece of paper for the person that is planning on claiming birds. The DNR may stop you or check you and ask who is claiming the birds and it is your responsibility to make sure you know who is claiming them.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: Hunt Refunds Our time is valuable and the work and effort we put into setting up our hunts and is not to be taken for granted. If you have booked a hunt and can not make it we will re-schedule your hunt either for later that season or for a later date down the road during another season. We do not do refunds unless we are the ones who cancel the hunt for reasons out of our control.
If we have weather issues we will re-schedule your hunt if needed outside of post poning the hunt.
If you book a hunt and can't make it for whatever reason last minute we are out those dates and most likely can't re-coop the money for those empty spots that could have been filed with paying customers.
If the birds are not flying or if they move or if the weather moves in and changes everything we do our best to give the best opportunity possible and our services will be rendered either on another day or you accept that we will and have done what we can to make the best of the situation and you acknowledge it means that you forfeit your money if you do not want to re-schedule a hunt for another time.
If we have to cancel a hunt due to weather or other issues outside of our control we will re-schedule your hunt for another time and or date.
Regardless of hunting conditions we are ultimatley providing a service and mother nature is in total control and we are not. No matter what we do not refund money for any reason outside of issues pertaining to us not being able to provide our services for a specific day or days.
Regardless of hunting we still have to pay for fuel, food, lodging, insurance, leases, gear, time, and other expenses.
Ultimatley we want to provide you with a safe and memorable spring snow goose hunting experience and we understand that things happen outside of everyones control so, instead of refunding money we re-schedule hunts to make up for that time missed or for instances beyond everyones control. thank you for your understanding and we really appreciate your time and hope to see you out in the field.
Weather Policy: Weather conditions can make or break a snow goose hunt. Depending on the fronts moving in or out, Rain and snow in the forcast, or even excessivly high winds every thing will effect feeding patterns and migration patterns. No matter what we have experienced all there is over the past almost 20 years chasing snow geese from Akansas to the Canadian border and weather at times can be a big pain in the butt. If the weather makes hunting conditions unbearable or even unsafe we may decide to try and re-schedule, postpone, or cut short any of our spring snow goose hunts.
Ultimately we just want everyone to be safe and have a great time in the field. So, if we decide to do any of the aforementioned on one of your snow goose hunts then it is because we know that it is either unsafe for us and for you to be in the field and or the weather is just going to make your hunt pretty unproductive.
If after being warned about weather conditions effecting your hunt with us and you still want to hunt we will by all means do our best to accomodate with you to make your trip as enjoyable as we can although knowing that it may be very unproductive.
But, if you do decide to come and hunt with us even after being warned about the conditions we can not re-schedule a hunt because of it being unproductive due to the situations out of our control and you are taking it upon yourselves to risk hunting and missing out on rescheduled hunt dates.
Dog Policy: We allow dogs in our sets depending on the situation. We ask that prior to your hunt that you contact us regarding your dogs and or bringing your dogs with you on your hunt. Some places we stay don't allow dogs in the hotels or motels so make sure that you contact us directly to find out if you can bring your dog before showing up.
We also may have others who are already bringing their dogs and as with the hunting it is a first come first serve basis. So, while setting up your hunt booking make sure to mention whether or not you are planning on bringing your dog.
We like to keep the number of dogs in the field to only 1 to 2 dogs per set and they will have already had to hunt together to do so. Dogs can really mess up a hunt if they are out running free and out of control and just remember that it may not make everyone in your party happy if the dog is out making the hunting that much harder.
If the dog is creating too much of a problem we may ask you to take the dog out of the field. No matter what we try to work with everyone and we love to have good working dogs in the field to help with retrieves and it also cuts down on the work we have to do to chase down cripples so we welcome the extra help.
