Description

As the weather begins to cool, river temperatures drop and the allusive steelhead salmon begin to run into central Idaho. Thought to be one of the most prestigious fish in North America; Steelhead are rainbow trout that leave their home rivers and travel to the sea only to return again. Unlike a salmon that parishes at the end, steelhead return to ocean only to get larger for their next trip home to Idaho's Rivers. Idaho has had consistently good steelhead runs in the last decade, which has created some excellent fishing opportunities.
