Description

The Deshka River starts at the foot of the Alaska Range and is a clear water river, not glacier fed. The Deshka is a premier Alaska freshwater river. It is well known for its great runs of King salmon (Chinook) and Silver salmon (Coho)as well as large numbers of Rainbow Trout. The river also has large runs of Pink Salmon on even years plus opportunities to fish for Grayling and Northern Pike. The Deshka is truly Alaska fishing at its best.

Our location on the river above the rock garden offers isolation from the crowds and remote fishing you won't find in many other places. Most of the time we have the river to ourselves. Our jet boats give us access to miles of river and side streams and offers our fishing guests a choice of fishing from the boat or putting on a pair of waders and getting into some great river fishing.

Pricing Details

We offer several packages, including 3, 6, and 7 day All-Inclusive Guided Fishing Packages and a 2-Night King Salmon Fishing Package.

Three day package $1895 (per person) Rate includes three nights lodging, meals and two and a half days of guided fishing.

Five day package $2495 (per person) Rate includes five nights lodging, meals and four and a half days of guided fishing.

Seven day package $2995 (per person) Rate includes seven nights lodging, meals and six and a half days of guided fishing.

King Salmon Two Day Fishing Package $1695 (per person) Includes two nights lodging, meals, and two full days of guided king salmon fishing. Package available June and early July only.

Packages Include: lodging in our comfortable guest rooms, hearty homecooked meals in our riverfront dining room, round trip airfare from Anchorage to our lodge, jet boat and guide service for the specified days of the package of your choice, waders or hip boots, spinning tackle, lures and bait if needed, filleting, packaging and freezing of your catch.

What Our Packages Do Not Include are: Alcoholic Beverages and Soda (bring your own), Alaska fishing license, King Stamp (if needed), flyfishing equipment, MatSu Borough Bed Tax and Gratuities.

Terms & Conditions

Reservation and Cancellation Policy A deposit of 50% is required to confirm reservations. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Reservations paid less then 60 days in advance must be paid in full at time of booking.

Refunds for cancellations will only be made if space can be fill for previously agreed upon period. Deposits can be transferred to another available date within the season. Deposits for no shows cannot be transferred to other members of the group. We highly recommend trip cancellation insurance. Deshka Wilderness Lodge is not responsible for loss of personal property, delays or cancellations due to weather or any circumstances beyond our control.
