During spring and fall our fishing quarry are Salmon River steelhead – trophy ocean-run rainbow trout that return to the Salmon River in the fall, robust and heavy from 1 to 2 years of feeding in the Pacific. They range from 4-20 pounds, averaging 7. After the fall season ends in December, Salmon River steelhead winter over, providing a spring season in late February, March and April. We offer fishing trips from 1 to 5 days long. Trip options include fall and spring season drift boat fishing day trips near Salmon, Idaho and multi-day wilderness fishing (fall only). During July we chase Salmon River Chinook salmon. Our salmon fishing season usually kicks in around the first week of July, continuing for 2-3 weeks. There is nothing like catching a salmon on the Salmon River, near Salmon, Idaho. This is one of the longest salmon runs on earth, with adults travelling over 750 miles against the headwind of peak spring river flows to return to Idaho. Drift boat fishing day trips near Salmon
