Captain's Jeff and Mary Poe, the owners of Big Lake Guide Service, would like to invite you to Southwest Louisiana to enjoy some of the finest fly and light tackle saltwater fishing on the Gulf Coast.
Our service has been in operation since 1984 and has grown from one boat to seven boats. Calcasieu Lake and its tributaries are nationally known for the trophy speckled "sow" trout that it produces each year.
All of our charterboat captains are U.S. Coast Guard licensed and insured, to guide you safely through your fishing adventure. All of our captains are full-time employees and have numerous hours of experience on the waters of Calcasieu Lake and close offshore rigs. They are very knowledgeable, personable, helpful and friendly.

Terms & Conditions
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. We do accept VISA, MasterCard, business or personal checks. Please Note: A convenience fee of 5% will be added for all credit card payments. All deposit checks must be received within 10 days of booking. We require 15 days advance notice to cancel or to reschedule all boats and accommodations that you have booked. Deposits may be applied to a future trip or refunded by a company check issued to original payee. A $25 credit card fee will be assessed on all credit cards charges that call for a refund. Less than 15 days notice of cancellations will forfeit your deposit. If we cancel you due to unsafe weather conditions you will be asked to reschedule as soon as possible. All no shows will forfeit deposit.
