Drift fishing for Lake Erie walleyes out of Anchors Away Marina (Port Clinton Area) known as the WALLEYE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. This area of Lake Erie is were the walleye spawn before making their migration east into the central basin. Summer time trolling in the central basin of Lake Erie offers one of the best trophy walleye opportunities! A Lot of limit cathes are common this time of year with 5lb. to 9lb fish making up most of the catch. Steelhead trout are also common this time of year, offering additional action.
