Description

The Walleye action on Fort Peck Lake starts to pick up around the first of June and continues strong until the lake freezes late in the year. The Walleye average between two and four pounds, with six to ten pound fish caught fairly often. Most of our fishing is done by trolling spinners, lindy rigs, crank baits, or casting jigs.

Fishing is also available on the Milk River.

The colder waters of Fort Peck Lake hold Lake Trout and one of the few populations of land locked Chinook (King)Salmon. At depths of 50 to 150 feet of water, downriggers are used to target these species. We use combinations of flashes and squid bodies, trolling spoons, and other species specific tackle to catch these fish. The peak times to catch salmon start in mid to late July and run through September when these fish are in the pre-spawn mode. Lake trout can be caught throughout the fishing season. The boat is fully rigged and ready to go to work for up to 3 people plus your guide.
