Description

We hunt Black Bears both spring and fall using only spot and stalk methods. There is "NO BAITING" and we have a good population of Black Bears in the area. With approximately thirty percent color phase, these bears can range from black or brown, to cinnamon, and even blonde. All hunters are able to take two bears per year which gives you a great opportunity to harvest both a big boar averaging six-seven feet and a color phase bear.

During our early season Mule Deer hunts we take advantage of the bucks being in bachelor groups which makes them easier to scout and pattern. Later in the season, we hunt these bucks during the peak of the rut focusing our efforts towards large open forestry cut blocks and cut-lines where big mature bucks are covering territory in search of receptive does. Hunting these weary bucks is done mainly by spot and stalk or hunting from out heated tower and ground blinds.
