Tallgrass Lodge is a full service Kansas hunting lodge and Kansas Pheasant and Quail hunting outfitter and guide service nestled into the flint hills of Northeast Kansas. Located just southwest of Junction City Kansas in the heart of Kansas Pheasant and Quail country. For generations Kansas has been a world renowned destination for upland quail and pheasant hunters. At Tallgrass Lodge we hunt upland birds on thousands of acres of prime upland habitat managed specifically for Kansas Pheasant hunts and Kansas Quail Hunts. No matter the size or experience of your group from one hunter to large corporate groups I can tailor a Kansas Upland Bird hunting trip to suit your needs. You can choose one of our wild Kansas quail hunts or you can hunt pheasant, quail and Chukar on one of our shooting preserves (Controlled Shooting Areas – Kolling Pharm) where there are no bag limits.

2015 Rates

Kansas Wild Quail Hunts

Season Dates – November 9 – January 31 : Daily Limit 8 Quail Daily Fee: $350 Traditional Kansas wild Quail hunts are $350.00 per day per Hunter. Please note these rates are based on a minimum four hunter party. Add $50 per hunter for a party of three and $100 per hunter for a party of two or less. What is included: Professional guides, Dogs, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, one night stay at Tallgrass Lodge, and transportation to and from the field. What is not included: Licenses, taxes, and gratuities.

Kansas Pheasant Quail and Chukar Hunting (Season Dates – September 1 – March 31)

Package A – $185 Package A is $185.00 per 1/2 day per hunter and includes a 1/2 day three hour hunt, your choice of 4 Pheasant or 6 Chukar or 8 Quail per hunter, guide, dogs, and transportation to and from the field.

Package B – $225 Package B is $225.00 per 1/2 day per hunter and includes a 1/2 day three hour hunt, your choice of 6 Pheasant or 8 Chukar or 12 Quail per hunter, guide, dogs, and transportation to and from the field.

Package C – $350 Package C is $350.00 per day per hunter and includes a 1 day six hour hunt, your choice of 8 Pheasant or 12 Chukar or 16 Quail per hunter, lunch, guide, dogs, and transportation to and from the field.

Package D – $450 Package D is $450.00 per day per hunter and is our signature full service hunt that includes a 1 day six hour hunt, your choice of 12 Pheasant or 16 Chukar or 24 Quail per hunter, guide, dogs, breakfast, lunch and dinner, one night stay at Tallgrass Lodge, and transportation to and from the field.

All Packages – Please note these rates are based on a minimum four hunter party. Add $50 per hunter per day for a party of three or $100 for two or less.

Terms & Conditions

50% of your total package costs are due when you make your reservations. If you are booking a fall hunt (September – November) 100% of your balance is due by September 1st. If you are booking a winter hunt (December – March) 100% of your balance is due 60 days prior to your scheduled hunt.
