The Elk and Mule deer hunting is held in the gradual and moderate terrain of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest (Gravelly Range). This area, for several years now, has been said to be where the biggest population of elk are. Just look in a popular hunting magazine under the elk forecast or outlook and it will name southwest corner of Montana for the best chance for elk. Looking from our elk camps on a clear day we can see Yellowstone Park (40 miles away), the Grand Tetons (60 miles away) and Continental Divide running between Montana and Idaho (25 miles away).
You can expect a comfortable wall tent camp, with heated tents, home cooked meals, cots with foam pads, area with a good amount of elk and enthusiastic staff.
