For optics, I am a bing fan of Vortex products, not only the quality of the glass but the features as well.
Rangefinders are an interesting topic because for most they're all the same, but for me, they can make all the difference.
Guiding elk, I have bought a million and one calls, and the best I have ever used is the Rocky Mountain Elk Slayer Diaphragm call combined with the Bully Bull Extreme Elk Grunt Tube.
When it comes to base layers the best in the game is First Lite Kiln. It regulates body temperature the best and nothing beats it.
For all my outer gear I use badlands, nothing beats it. Badlands has a life time warranty and the material is breathable, quiet and virtually indestructible. For early season I use the Resist gear, the vest, jacket, and pants. For late season I use the Calor Jacket and pants. As for the fantastic rain/wind gear they provide, I go with the Bail Jacket and Pants.
As I said before, Badlands can't be beat. I love the merino wool socks, and added clothing accessories.
