Seeing late and early is important. Accurately judging caliber of game takes great optics.

Buy systems. Summer hunting you need to to keep the sun off of you but the mornings are often cold. Winter, layer up. Wicking shirt, insulated down, wool, wind, rain. If I can keep my tips warm, I'm good. Feet, ears, hands, nose!
As stated with gear, my choices are similar in nature.
Accuracy and familiarity are key here. Must be an extension of your being. Really like the 28 Nosler Caliber.
