I cannot stress enough how much of a difference good optics make in the field. Inside big box stores you cannot tell the difference between a $400 and a $3,000 pair of binoculars but in the field they not even comparable.
Eberlestock has hands down been the best packs I have ever used in the field. I actually use my gear, and I use it hard. My packs are constantly getting thrown into the bed of my truck all season and are usually left outside. Their stuff holds up.
Any Rocky Mountain diaphragm you can get comfortable with will do. Their calls are high quality and even though I buy new ones every season I could easily get 3-4 years of hard use out of any of their diaphragms.
Being comfortable at camp is one of the most important things. Your camp protects you against the elements and is your safe haven.
I am a huge fan of all MTN OPS products. Peak Refuel being my favorite freeze dried meals. I often catch myself in a pinch at home not wanting to make food and i will eat one of my Peak meals.
MTN OPS anything!
Other than my baselayers, I am all Sitka. I do have Sitka base layers but always go to my First Lite. I am not easy on any of my equipment, and I need them to last. I strive to be comfortable while out hunting. If I am comfortable then I am much more likely to sit and glass in any and all weather.
My boots have never let me down since I switched to Zamberlan. They are the most comfortable thing I have ever put my feet in.
I am a huge fan of CVA muzzleloaders. They are the best bang for your buck along with Leupold scopes for hunting.
