Sol's Late Season Elk Gear List

The late season elk migration hunts in Northwest Colorado can be brutally cold, with temperatures well below zero on most mornings (lowest has been -32). Layering is critical and we can go from sitting in a vehicle for 3 hours, to running up a sage covered hillside to intercept elk on the move. Most of the hunts I volunteer guide are for 1st time youth hunters, who are the children of disabled Veterans, through my 501(c)3, Rocky Mountain Heroes Foundation. We also take decorated Veterans (Medal of Honor, Bronze Star, Purple Heart) as well.
